Brie 60% 3kg
Brie is a soft, double cream cheese named after the French province from where it originated, now part of the modern dpartement of Seine-et-Marne. It is known world-wide for its downy white rind and cream-colored, soft interior that oozes when at the peak of ripeness and temperature. With its ultra-milky interior and tender, edible rind, Brie is a true French delicacy. Even Charlemagne was allegedly a fan of the bloomy-rind cheese as early as 774.
Brie 60% is made with 60-percent cream giving the cheese a sweet and buttery flavor with a hint of almond. It is traditionally a table cheese, though today it has become popular for cooking applications, as well. Around the Ile-de-France region where it originates, people enjoy soaking Brie in caf au lait and eat it for breakfast. Brie is usually served in either a full or partial wheel, and traditional French social convention says that slices should be taken from the radius rather than the center. Removing the desirable tip of the wedge is a serious social faux pas known as "pointing the brie."
